Frances H An excellent film that has held up well and a very good cast really delivers! The story of Attica is the story of how those at the top of our government have very little idea of what real problems faced by what they consider the "lower classes" of society go though and even less desire to make the condition of those born less privileged than they any better if it makes the slightest demands on their time and effort whatsoever! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/18/19 Full Review Audience Member Gritty film depiction of the 4 day riot at Attica prison in 1971 that left 39 dead including 10 of 33 prison guard hostages. Just a bad decision to use force. No wonder Morgan Freeman looked so comfortable in prison in Shawshank. He plays a similar character behind bars here. Another winning prison drama that underscores the complications of individual agendas with no willingness for compromise making all parties a loser.
