      Audience Member Xavier Legrand's short film Avant que de tout perdre is an emotionally driven story about a woman trying to escape from the life she's become a prisoner of. Legrand's stereotypically subtle french style coincides perfectly with the narrative being told. It's a rather slow moving film at times and could explore the themes presented further, but it's a very solid short film. Bottom line, I'd recommend it, especially to fans of French filmmaking. Yet to sit down and watch them altogether, you give up as soon as the credits roll on Avant Que De Tout Perdre. A tense thriller of the every day life, the film burns up the screen and then is gone in almost an instant, knocking any competition to the wayside.
