Audience Member The 2008 Russo-Georgian War from a Russian perspective. A boy with an active imagination is sent to see his visit his dad and grandparents in South Ossetia. Unfortunately, Georgia tries to take control of the region while he is there. A mother goes on a desperate journey to get him back. There are good action scenes and the actress is very convincing. The robot fantasy aspect threw me at first, "Russian Spy Kid?", but it ends up working quite well. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Must say an original movie. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Drame de guerre d'origine russe, l'actrice Svetlana Ivanova est particulièrement convaincante. Quelques scènes fictives (se déroulant dans l'imaginaire du fils) un peu inutiles mais sans vraiment d'impact sur le film. Bon effort Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member This 19 million US$ million dollar budget Russian movie starts looking like some version of "Little Spies", but after the first 5min, is actually a war drama / action movie: . after the first scenes, almost nothing happens by the boy's eyes (who uses his imagination to hide the reality), except near the end. The plot is simple: the boy is the son of divorced parents, and very imaginative, and will spend some time with his military father in Odessa - but a war breaks out, and he get's stuck there, his mother is determined to rescue him. The film has many CG scenes, very well made â<â<and scenes of military action to make envy in many American action movies. Russia had other action films in this style, and increasingly shows that it will be one of the poles of the genre in the near future. The film have a good message, and it's fun in the end - I recommend. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Salvar al soldado Ryan + El laberinto del fauno + Transformers. Lástima de guión, porque en lo demás supera a cualquier blockbuster USA. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Read all reviews
