Music Videos I Without question one of the worst films I've ever seen. Whoever wrote the script for this must have had a lobotomy. The characters are so generic it's farcical. How do films like this ever get made? Who looked at this trash and thought "yeah sounds like a hit to me"? Everyone associated with this film should be embarrassed, because that's what everything about this film is…. An embarrassment. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/28/23 Full Review Squire S Almost unbelievably prophetic film predicting the thing that arrived on earth in 2020 and showing the psychological and spiritual forces at work. Part incredibly accurate predictions of what was to come in terms of lockdown and if not forced, at least coerced vaccinations and unquestioned obedience to the perceived authority of the media and part allegory showing the relentless psychic attack that we came under in the period 2020 to the present. Obviously an uncomfortable truth hard for many to swallow is contained in this amazing film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/09/23 Full Review Jonathan D Mostly uninteresting characters with a slow buildup for little payout. Plenty of mystery that had no real purpose or satisfying resolution. A fairly forgettable film. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/21/23 Full Review Emilliano Jr S An ok yuletide brit horror. Atleast a back story on the monster would be more than ok. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 09/06/23 Full Review Valok P Having excellent character dynamics, a subversive and creative take on the home invasion premise and masses of terrifying moments, Await Further Instructions is as wild as it is entertaining. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/25/23 Full Review Hugo S A family is trapped inside their own house on Christmas night, while instructions from the Government are being broadcasted on live TV. The tension between the family members escalates to unexpected moments of violence as they start turning against each other. "Await Further Instructions" bets all the cards on two horror layers: claustrophobia and paranoia. But it never succeeds in infecting the audience with these symptoms! Cath Clarke Guardian There's armrest-clutching brilliance in the way this sweatily tense low-budget British horror lays out a family Christmas from hell, and then cranks it up into something truly gruesome. Rated: 3/5 Dec 5, 2018 Full Review Johnny Oleksinski New York Post This British sci-fi thriller is like the violent offspring of "Black Mirror." Rated: 3/4 Oct 6, 2018 Full Review Simon Abrams RogerEbert.com An important subject doesn't necessarily make for a thrilling satire/social critique and Kevorkian and Williams simply aren't outlandish enough to land their half-baked ideas about television's dominating influence. Rated: 1.5/4 Oct 5, 2018 Full Review Alix Turner Ready Steady Cut A typical modern family gathers for Christmas, full of nostalgia and bickering. They wake on Christmas morning to find they are unable to leave. At last: a great Christmas horror film from the UK. Rated: 4.5/5 Feb 2, 2021 Full Review Eve Tushnet Patheos This 2018 horror flick takes a terrific premise and turns it into a long Facebook comment from your most unreflective progressive friend. Mar 26, 2020 Full Review Josh Goller Spectrum Culture Despite its amalgam of styles and influences, Await Further Instructions transcends mere pastiche, adding a unique wrinkle to otherwise familiar terrain.
