Could have finished an hour quicker if it wasn't so stretched out. The film doesn't have much else to offer than what you've seen in the trailer already.

"Azhar" doesn't fixate completely on the cricketer's personal or professional life. It is sheer Bolly-mash inspired from a few real-life incidents. There is neither the dramatic flair, nor the thrills. Songs are the only savior here (along with an okayish Emraan Hashmi), but they too did not necessarily drive the story any further and ended up as mere filler.

Everyone knew the story but how to tell it beautifully was the problem. The efficient screenplay solves it. But however still the film falls flat partially due to the fact everyone knows about it and secondly difficulty in accepting Azhars version which is the film. but still not a bad film.
