Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com The filmmakers give birth to a new nightmare, one overflowing in possibilities and, it should be noted, several purposefully unanswered questions. Azrael is a blood-soaked blast. Rated: 3/4 Oct 2, 2024 Full Review Meagan Navarro Bloody Disgusting Weaving’s capable performance and the visceral siege horror ensure this dialogue-free experiment succeeds. Rated: 4/5 Sep 28, 2024 Full Review Monica Castillo RogerEbert.com It’s chase sequence after chase sequence with hints of context here and there, just enough to hold the story together but not enough to fully explain everything. Rated: 1/4 Sep 27, 2024 Full Review Rebecca Sayce FILMHOUNDS Magazine The bold folk survival horror boasts breathtaking visuals and a unique concept, but one that doesn't feel fully realised. Rated: 3/5 Jul 23, 2025 Full Review Cody Allen The Curb At its core, Azrael is a dark symphony of mood and motion, with Samara Weaving delivering a performance that echoes with silent intensity. Jul 18, 2025 Full Review Maxance Vincent Film Speak Azrael may be significantly better than No One Will Save You as a dialogue-free horror movie but lacks the energy and development of a Ready or Not-type vehicle for Samara Weaving.
