In a bold reimagining of the Batman legend set in the Aztec empire, a young Aztec boy escapes to Tenochtitlán after his father is murdered by Spanish conquistadors. There, he trains in the temple of the bat god Tzinacan, and develops weaponry to avenge his father's death. Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires is a one-time-only kind of watch, mostly for diehard Batman completists. It’s novel, more than a little overstuffed and occasionally enjoyable. If that sounds like faint praise, that’s because it is.

dc makes great animation movies . A young Aztec boy experiences tragedy when his father is murdered by Spanish Conquistadors. Yohualli escapes to Tenochtitlan to warn King Moctezuma and his high priest, Yoka, of imminent danger.

Absolute peak. Personally of course, it's not perfect but it resonates deeply, came outta that cinema appreciating my indigenous roots. It was better than I expected, 10/10 I'll rewatch the hell out of it.

Its a work of pure pop entertainment. An achievement for such a low budget production. You can see the love and care the artists applied to every scene. A huge jump for mexican Anima Studios. And kudos to WB for taking the risk at such crazy Elsworlds idea. Fantasy and history mixed together for a bloody guilty pleasure. The potential for more is very much present. Mas Batman Azteca por favor!
