In 1521, famous Spanish explorer Hernando Cortes (Ian Ziering) and a small expedition arrive in Mexico, seeking fame and riches. After stumbling upon a small Aztec village, they learn that the natives regularly conduct human sacrifices to keep a big tyrannosaur from attacking. Cortes' aide, Rios (Marco Sanchez), saves tribal princess Ayacoati (Dichen Lachman) from the dinosaur, winning over the Aztecs. Together, the Spanish and indigenous people set out to kill the carnivorous beast.
