Charles P Jan 4 An interesting premise is generally fumbled here by hammed-up, heavy-handed stage direction (both literally and of the story) with more attention paid to random culture nods that have a very low-to-middling success rate. Still more entertaining that the usual crime/horror/drama of this type, it's a bit like someone said "Give me what Hitchcock would make now, and then make every character in it really, REALLY unbelievably stupid."
