Walter Goodman New York Times ... os so good-humored that you find yourself rooting for it at every spurt of irreverence even as it moves in a rather disorderly way to a gushy conclusion that undermines what has gone before. Audience Member Funny - good cast. Guttenburg is good here and so is Alan Arkin. Not the best comedy every but the fish out of water in Medical school aspect works. Give it a watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Peasantry physicians. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member This a B-grade comedy. It's goofy and nothing too spectacular... BUT! There is one scene that is utterly hilarious that makes this worth watching. The scene where the students buy a cadaver to study on and the mayhem that follows for the next several minutes is worth the price of the rental. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/28/23 Full Review Audience Member dont waste your time watching this tasteless comedy full of dumb unreal situations.. the only real character is Mr Madero the mob-director of the medical school... Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Typical 80's comedy where nothing remotely funny happens. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Here's an obscure dumb comedy from 1985 with Steve Guttenberg near the peak of his popularity. This farce about American medical students gaining an education in Central America has a few good laughs-- including a sequence involving a dead body that 'Weekend At Bernie's' totally ripped off three years later.
