Scott Marks San Diego Reader The cast is appealing, the location work in Baja is ridiculously colorful, and if you don't go in expecting too much, you won't be disappointed. Rated: 1/5 Apr 13, 2018 Full Review Noel Murray Los Angeles Times The scenery's pleasant and the actors are mostly likable. If "Baja" had been made in the '60s, it would have some kitsch appeal. It's easy watching, for anyone who needs a little mind-vacation. Apr 12, 2018 Full Review David Lewis San Francisco Chronicle Vidal doesn't sufficiently mine the buddy dynamic. He's more interested in the romantic side of things, which would have been fine if his female characters weren't so boring and one-dimensional. Rated: 1/4 Apr 10, 2018 Full Review Bobby LePire Film Threat Baja doesn't have the most original plot nor an overarching style. But the characters are really likable, the actors' chemistry is off the charts, and the cordial ambiance invites the viewer to lay back and have a good time. Rated: B Apr 30, 2018 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall The filmmaking is simplistic and the storytelling is often flat-out stupid, so it's never particularly involving. Rated: 2/5 Apr 18, 2018 Full Review Mark R. Leeper Mark Leeper's Reviews BAJA reminds the viewer of the 1980s "school break" and "student mischief" films Rated: 7/10 Apr 9, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews
