Synopsis
The life and artistry of the demanding and celebrated George Balanchine is explored in this documentary. Clips of some of the dances he choreographed are featured, along with interviews with six of his faithful ballerinas who have danced with Balanchine at various points in his long career. The dancers share a fundamental respect for the legendary Mr. B., and provide insights into the man who revolutionized ballet and established a uniquely American form of one of the most elegant arts.
