The story is off the charts – twists and turns that keep you hooked, and Valerie's character is legit badass. But let me tell you, the cinematography is what blew my mind. The visuals are so on point; it's like they painted each scene with pure creativity. The colors, the angles, everything – it's like watching art unfold on the screen. If you're into indie flicks that bring the story and visuals together in a great combo, this one's a must-watch for sure! Rated 5/5 Stars •  Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/07/23 Full Review Dawn J Bang Bang Betty: Valerie's Revenge is a crowd-pleasing action film that sweetly rests on the shoulders of lead, Emily Rose Hernandez. The film tells the story of Valerie's journey to seek revenge in the wake of her lover's murder by the diabolical cartel leader, Sanchez (Hector Soria). The film features a diverse, ensemble cast bringing solid performances. Standouts for me included Gerald Parrish as Ray, and probably my new favorite henchwoman: Mariah Padilla as Luna. Overall, the film is a thrilling watch for action/crime moviegoers that isn't afraid of a little girl on girl action or topical editorializing around fentanyl use. Co-writer/Director Alexander T. Hwang delivers so much Bang Bang for the budget, you can't help but enjoy the ride. It feels part Sergio Leone, part Narcos. The direction is tight and the performances strong, especially the character of Luna and the action hero DEA agent.
