Audience Member Barjo (Confessions of a Crap Artist) is the best film adaptation of any PKD book I've seen. Directed by Jérôme Boivin and written by Jacques Audiard and Jérôme Boivin, they pulled off a very entertaining and faithful version of the book with great acting by Anne Brochet, Richard Bohringer and Hippolyte Girardot. Sadly, only available on VHS. Worth the trouble to find a copy or see when/if available. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member After Blade Runner, this is the best adaptation of a Philip K. Dick story. Un-dubbable and un-subtitleable, hence forever off-limits to non-French speakers. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Curious film. Very amusing. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Good actors but not a faithful adaptation and moving the setting the France instead of California doesn't work. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member I saw this in Paris. It's one of the better adaptations of a work by Philip K. Dick. Too bad it left out the last--and best--third of the novel. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Read all reviews
