Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express To expect any kind of nuance from the makers of The Kerala Story would have been a stretch. Bastar is more of the same. Rated: 0.5/5 Mar 20, 2024 Full Review Deepanjana Pal Film Companion The film sees the team behind The Kerala Story reunite, this time to flatten the complexity of the conflict between Naxals and the state. Mar 20, 2024 Full Review Anuj Kumar The Hindu It feels like a crude visual representation of a collection of WhatsApp forwards where a soldier’s sacrifice is deliberately dropped to win a conversation. Mar 17, 2024 Full Review Abhishek Srivastava The Times of India While "Bastar" engages audiences for much of its duration, a deeper exploration of the political landscape could have enhanced the narrative, and made this a finer watch. Rated: 3/5 Mar 17, 2024 Full Review Samarth Goyal Hindustan Times By sidestepping nuanced character exploration and succumbing to occasional oversimplification, the film falls short of its full potential, leaving audiences with lingering questions and a sense of untapped narrative depth. Mar 17, 2024 Full Review Devesh Sharma Filmfare Overall, Bastar: The Naxal Story falls short in providing a balanced and nuanced portrayal of its subject matter, opting instead for a sensationalised narrative that fails to capture the complexities of the issue at hand. Kumar H Another hard hitting movie based on real events from the makers of The Kerala Story depicting a story that is mostly unknown to the common Indian. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/18/24 Full Review Bhavesh K This movie is a landmark in correctly n factually depicting how left is the most dangerous amongst the rabid left-jihadi-ricebag nexus who r at it 24/7 since decades to bring Bharat, direction n research was top notch, appreciate vipul shah to hv funded such a valiant effort n all performances in the movie were stirring, it was a technically well made film for us indians to know how our tribals r suffering at the hands of organised gang who xploit natural resources under the garb of nonsensical revolution, just like how khalistan movement is a facade, it's actually organised drug n arms racket, we need to support such movies through our theatre viewership so that breaking india forces r xposed on celluloid thru such brilliant n continuous efforts so that nt only our govt is indic in their efforts but also our systems that r infested with such rabid n toxic philosophies who r neither bharatiya nor beneficial for us indians!!!! 5/5* Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/22/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
