Chris Stuckmann ChrisStuckmann.com Immediately, one of my biggest issues with a lot of the DC animated films was solved within the first few frames, because you can tell they put a lot of work into this animation. Rated: B Jun 24, 2021 Full Review Akos Peterbencze Vulnerable Man (Medium) The Long Halloween won’t rise to the level of The Dark Knight Returns — a near-masterpiece among Batman animations — or Under the Red Hood, but it’s right behind them. Jul 21, 2023 Full Review Jonathan Garcia Dynamic Duel Podcast If you're a Batman fan, I strongly recommend this film. It is among the best, if not THE best onscreen adaptation of Batman ever. ... It may be cliché of me to say this, but the film is quite literally the Godfather of Batman films. Rated: 4.5/5 Jan 12, 2023 Full Review Brian Costello Common Sense Media It's engaging enough, and creates enough cliffhanging suspense to want to see what happens in the sequel, even for those who aren't fully versed in the DC Universe. Rated: 3/5 Jul 15, 2021 Full Review Rick Bentley KGET-TV (Bakersfield, CA) What makes this new release so good is the combination of the compelling story that mirrors the comics and the use of the kind of art deco-style animation that made the animated Batman TV series so strong. Rated: 4/4 Jul 1, 2021 Full Review Jeremy Jahns JeremyJahns.com It's a great batman story that I'm glad they adapted to an animated film, and so far for part one, they did it really well. Noah L As of this review I have not seen part two, but this movie still stands it's ground, an intriguing murder mystery with brilliant animation, emphasizing a key aspect of Batman's character often left neglected, being a detective. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/16/24 Full Review Daniel P Unbelievable film. beautifully shot, voice acted, and great adaption of the novel. I thoroughly enjoyed this from start to finish. The animation style I also enjoyed as it look like it was straight from a comic. Definitely worth watching. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/09/24 Full Review illumn8n Was an amazing film, I loved the cinematography and the character detail, great casting and as a story had me second guessing quite a bit, great film Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/26/24 Full Review matthias s The Long Halloween Part 1 is a visually stunning animated film that successfully combines the worlds of Batman, The Godfather, and Seven. The great voice casting, amazing cinematography, and engaging storyline make it a must-watch for fans of the Dark Knight and crime thrillers. While it may have some pacing issues and leave audiences wanting more, it's still a solid entry in the Batman animated movie canon. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/09/23 Full Review Will H A fantastic movie for any superhero or Batman fan, as well as fans of a mystery. While it does feel like some knowledge of Batman lore, mostly around some villain origins and Bruce Wayne's wealth/capabilities, helps while viewing, it's not absolutely essential. The animation is a joy, amazing to see Gotham brought to life this way. The plot is very engrossing and encourages the viewer to take the stand point of Batman in trying to solve the mystery at hand, as well as making part 2 a need to watch. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/21/23 Full Review Mats T DC might be having trouble with their live action but their animation is superb and this movie is another proof of that, exciting and great use of the characters.
