Mike Massie Gone With The Twins Something of an advertisement for the manga - with no interest in telling a complete (or even comprehensible) tale. Rated: 3/10 Sep 10, 2020 Full Review Michelle Kisner The Movie Sleuth Battle Angel carries an air of melancholy the entire duration and has one of the most bittersweet endings of any anime from that period. Feb 21, 2019 Full Review Sam Kitagawa Flickering Myth Battle Angel remains a worthwhile watch for its strange slant on the Pinocchio story as well as the character of Alita. Simen Fjelde I love it, love the live action movie too :) Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/10/23 Full Review nick l Rosa Salazar Is extraordinary. Superhero, special effects, action movies are not my bag. But this one is really good. This is one of those times to trust the audience reviews not what the critics had to say. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Late R Surprisingly disappointing. That's not to say that it's bad - the premise and characters are both interesting and certainly have a lot of potential, but although it manages to pack in a lot of content in such a short period of time, it comes at the expense of it feeling very rushed, like a lot of important information has been passed over with the bare minimum of exploration being given to things that matter. For such a celebrated film, it falls rather short. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/18 Full Review Audience Member Short, Sweet and packing a punch. It's just a one hr anime based on the manga by the same name, being a 1993 production obviously the animation is simple and dated but the story makes it work. It covers the first two arcs of the manga, based on a futuristic dystopian world were cyborgs are common. The plot revolves around how people survive in the city and to what extends will they go for their desires, everyone has different desires and some seem more human and natural than others. I watched it after seeing the trailer for the 2018 live adoption, can't wait for the release of the movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review jonfreakin j anime at its most creative Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/11/17 Full Review Audience Member There are many films that tried to make something like this anime into a reality movie, but nothing compares to this cartoon classic.
