Giuseppe Sedia Kino Mania Idziak coats a highly predictable screenplay with visually stunning cinematography. Although unsurprisingly laden with heavy-handed patriotism, Hoffman’s epic is, nevertheless, indisputable proof of the technical maturity of the Polish movie industry. Audience Member A great historical drama about a pivotal point in Western history, when the brave, outnumbered Polish Army in 1920 turned back almost a million Bolshevik (Communist) Red Army troops sent by Lenin, Trotsky, and Stalin to conquer Europe for Communism. It's not the production values of Hollywood, but doesn't need them. The film is stirring and reminds us all of the price a brave, belittled nation has paid time and again to block Russia from killing freedom in Europe with an iron fist. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member A film about the Soviet Union's attempt to export Communism to Germany, France and England - if they can first march across the corpse of the fledgling Polish nation in their way. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review rory s Top quality movie, from Poland. Liked this film. It was high quality. Good story, and was educational. Well done. Lots of action scenes, but thoughtful too. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Orgazm Urba?skiej przy koszeniu Bolszewików z karabinu maszynowego zas?uguje na Oskara. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member I saw the movie yesterday. First of all it was very well done, a lot of effort went into recreating the battle scenes. The love story was a little too melodramatic, maybe trying to copy the romance of the early 20th century. I was very confused by who was Stalin and the Polish Field Marshall Pilsudski. Both had giant mustaches. Still, this is the Poland of my father's youth and I am glad I saw the movie Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member O fak...
