Don't blame the leads, but the movie has less emotional resonance than an old FTD florist commercial with Merlin Olsen. Go to Full Review

Bed of Roses tells a sappy story about two sad sacks who get more or less what they deserve -- each other. Go to Full Review

A good, even beautiful, premise, but this romance is stronger on ambience than development. Go to Full Review

Melissa M Feb 15 Even though the Josh brolin has a very small part in this movie. His character of Danny is very compelling. I wish there was more scenes with him in it. I'm still trying to figure out what Lisa's friend Kim does for a living. I just wish they would have been more of a back story of Lisa's adopted father stanley. Other than that I think this movie is very underrated. And very overlooked. The soundtrack is awesome. The movie is not oversaturated with music. Sometimes the story is a little slow moving. But it's nice to see Christian Slater in a romantic role. I love the montages in the film. It really sums up the story nicely. I think that Christian Slater and Mary Stewart Masterson have great chemistry in the film. I think it's the perfect date movie. See more lanfranco c @Lanfrancobz 11/23/2020 It is too sweet ! It turns to be unreal. See more 05/15/2017 This is definitely a family friendly movie. All in all I enjoyed it, I did think her freaking out about his proposal was just a way to add that last bit of drama, but it ended in a satisfying way. See more 07/15/2016 This movie is amazing. One of the best films of the 90's. See more 12/05/2015 Slater and Masterson were good together in this romantic drama with a perfectly sweet ending.
