Test T I watched this on DVD recently. When I saw the trailer it appeared to be a comedy, however having watched it now I don't think it is. Despite presenting a variety of potentially comedic scenarios, the dialog is abrasive and sometimes even course and lewd. It seems like a big missed opportunity to me, but it plays out solumnly as the writer intended. Thinking positively, it does have some nice locations including a cottage with a sea view, a coastal path, a woodland walk, a seafront restaurant and several lighthouses to enjoy. The interiors are nothing special though. There's a supernatural aspect to the story where the deceased keeps appearing to one of her daughters, and oddly it's not the daughter who takes drugs! I'm not sure whether I enjoyed watching it, but it passed the time. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/03/24 Full Review Audience Member Mm... Two great actors in search of a funny script? The three sisters are an odd bunch on screen, and really don't gel. The "supernatural" angle doesn't fit with the other predictable, mundane action and the stagey, flat direction. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Not as good as other Gilbert movies but its also good to see Walters. Whalley was actually the best in this. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I loved this movie, it is touching and funny, a real drama comedy :D Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member my copy is not called the memory of water, how strange. where is the relevance of water? cheap little flick bought in the supermarket. expected it to be funnier, especially the younger sister who was supposed to be a stoner (?) you gotta love our julie tho! not really sure what the point of this film was i cant remember how it ended.
