The movie is based on Icelandic magic/folklore/events. A beautiful rendering giving the viewer the opportunity to experience the timeless beauty of the northlands in a not so distant past. A note to the viewer; there are very few places left in Iceland where forest remains and wood "on the whole" was considered quite valuable.
