It’s a pretty basic plot, frankly, and suspense is minimal, even compared to the Belle and Sebastian movie trilogy of the 2010s (which, unlike the 1960s TV series, was set around the time of World War II).

A little Parisian with attitude but a good heart, gets short shrift from his female relatives so one very large and loyal mountain dog comes in handy in this unsentimental family entertainment set in the beautiful French Alps
