Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com It is infuriating and exhilarating, wonderful and annoying, clich and revolutionary, and with more problems than I can easily count (or recount, for that matter) the simple truth of the matter is that I borderline loved it. Rated: 3/4 Jan 27, 2012 Full Review Jennie Punter Globe and Mail Bellflower revs the engine of an exciting new maverick. Rated: 3/4 Sep 30, 2011 Full Review Tirdad Derakhshani Philadelphia Inquirer A delightfully strange hybrid creature. Rated: 3/4 Sep 15, 2011 Full Review Jason Adams My New Plaid Pants Unfortunately the movie was stuffed to the gills with one hundred thousand percent douche-bag accept no substitutes and it became a test of will to not shut it off Jul 2, 2021 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com Glodell is a cinematic voice to be reckoned with. Rated: 3.0/4.0 Sep 2, 2020 Full Review Ed Travis Hollywood Jesus I have to come out and say that I really liked Bellflower, but I just need to see it again to fully grasp it. Maybe smarter or less exhausted viewers will comprehend it more on the first viewing. Apr 3, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Bellflower succeeds in enthralling and exhilarating the viewer in a way that very few films can achieve. The catastrophic tones, the very human and imperfect characters. The film's cinematography is a true achievement; one that is so realistic that it will make spectators feel like they are taking part in the movie themselves, or watching a documentary. The initial muted energy of the first act begins to melt away and a slow-burning feeling of apprehension takes over in the second act. The third act is a merciless bear trap that grips you as tightly as you grip your seat. It is a trap that seizes you with unflinching grip, and when it does let you go, it practically throws you off a cliff. The asphyxiating feeling of wide-eyed awe, terror, and madness is like a shot of adrenaline. You are utterly fixated, staring in disbelief at the events of a previously announced apocalypse. Eyebrow-singeing is what another critic called it; I consider it a very accurate assessment. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Boring artsy nothing. Anyone who says that they like it are probably doing their own veresion of The Emperor's New Clothes. Like people who sniff wine. A lot of artsy photography with absolutely nothing else to offer. 'nuff said. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member It's an interesting indie arthouse flick. One that has some refreshingly real characters and interactions, but the whole thing of not knowing what's real and what isn't, is a little tired, and confusing. Doesn't help that a couple characters really grate on my nerves. But still, is a cool little film, I'll be watching it again to dissect it further. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/07/18 Full Review Audience Member Interesting movie about 2 guys that are fans of "The Road Warrior" and go through problems with girls. Definitely not for everyone. The guys look very similar (Dirty, beards and skinny). I got lost on who was sleeping with who. Also, not sure what really happened and what was imagined in the main character's head. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member this movie really is done good, emotional and interesting. It left me for a day thinking about it, was surprised that it got made with an low budget of 12k to make the movie! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member It's better to take this film as something made by young filmmakers than as a critically acclaimed sensation. It's more about the vibe, the look, the spirit of a work by young artists. It's not about having everything correct and beautiful. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews
