Kai H If you like Dead Calm, you will also love this movie. I personally always lean more into horror than I do drama or thrillers, but this one kept me fully engaged beginning to end. I held my breath with the characters, and panicked when they did. It´s an underrated masterpiece. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/14/24 Full Review Alec B The movie comes so close to working, but Twohy can't keep the tone consistent. It doesn't help that he spends so much time developing a supernatural threat, only to abandon it in the finale for a weak resolution to the undercooked mystery behind said threat. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/10/23 Full Review Captain Z Below does a good job of using the real world dangers aboard a WWII submarine to build danger and suspence. The plot has some great twists to it at the end. I think this one of the best films about (especially American) WWII submarines. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Very suspenseful and well paced in a confined setting in the first half. Then they left the sub and it became scattered and less clear what is happening, the pace feeling slower. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Very interesting movie I haven't seen any other haunted sub movies out there. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member It's a strange movie, you will still scratching your head wondering what had just happened walking out. Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com His Below is one of the scariest, most intense ghostly tales in a long time. Yet the ghost in question hardly lifts a finger and the unhinged human protagonists do most of the damage. Rated: 3/4 Jun 19, 2003 Full Review Eleanor Ringel Cater Atlanta Journal-Constitution The film has enough spooky momentum and good actors to keep it going. Rated: B Nov 4, 2002 Full Review Susan Stark Detroit News Rated: 2/4 Nov 3, 2002 Full Review Emma Wolfe SpookyAstronauts If you're into thrillers - late 90s early 2000s, obviously - this one is definitely for you. Rated: 5/10 May 11, 2021 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins A mystery is also afoot (relying far too heavily on flashbacks), to impart purpose to the haunting, but it's the general mood that is most compelling. Rated: 7/10 Sep 25, 2020 Full Review Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed We get the sense that Twohy wants to push this movie to the limits but eases up in the last minutes and tends to resort to old horror clichs...
