Becca James Chicago Reader Twists and turns abound, and while they're as expected as the rest of the beats in Below the Fold, they're also engaging enough to entertain. Jan 28, 2022 Full Review Bianca Garner In Their Own League It’s a very well-made film, and it’s great to see how effectively a filmmaker can make a low-budget film look so slick and impressive. Rated: 4/5 Jun 17, 2022 Full Review Shawn Edwards Fox 4 Kansas City An effective and taut mystery thriller that mostly eschews cliches... Rated: 3/5 Feb 7, 2022 Full Review Keri O'Shea Warped Perspective Below The Fold is a piece of fiction, but it comes with a reminder that life doesn't follow any narrative rule book. Jan 26, 2022 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com While Below the Fold may not cover a whole lot of new ground, what it covers it does so engagingly and with uncommon insight into rural life and the secrets we don't talk about. Rated: 3.0/4.0 Jan 8, 2022 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews If you're looking for a decent procedural no-nonsense crime film and no more, this one fits the bill. Fred K I liked it. Not so much the ending, unless it makes for a sequel. Great chemistry between the leads. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/18/24 Full Review peter m Well made but ultimately disappointing. The basic plot would be a forgettable episode in a police procedural series and that's fine because it's so well shot, acted and edited. However, they try to be a bit too clever in the final 20 mins and the whole businesses feels like a wasted experience. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/05/24 Full Review Laura H Very disappointing. It focused on a long-over relationship that took way too far to explain, and the ending was, well, meh. The actor playing the boss was less than convincing, more like the stereotypical hardass boss who thinks yelling at his staff motivates them. That was a couple of hours (not even worth going to back to see how long it was) I'll never get back. The only star of the whole movie was the photography. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/26/23 Full Review Nancy M Skip - the main actors are believable - but the script isn't . You are taken on a ride in so many directions and then no resolution . Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/05/23 Full Review Shuktara S I was very pleasantly surprised by this extremely unassuming cast who acted so naturally that I forgot they were acting. A hidden gem for mystery lovers. No high drama just real. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/27/23 Full Review Kimberly R Slow and unclear ending.
