Namrata Joshi The New Indian Express For a film pivoted on dialogue, my takeaway has been a phrase. Pent-up anger we all know. I am going to use an expression whose copyright rests in the film with Ben and Ben alone: pent-up tenderness. Apr 2, 2024 Full Review Naina Srivastava Austin Chronicle Seneviratne’s rom-com is a funny yet heartfelt look into a complicated relationship, in all its ups and downs, from heated disagreements to playful moments exploring scenic Sri Lanka. Mar 13, 2024 Full Review Panos Kotzathanasis Asian Movie Pulse Has its merits, and the relationship in its center is appealing. However, it frequently feels as a film that was supposed to be shot in the US, just found itself in Sri Lanka without being able to realize the difference or what to do with the fact. Rated: 5 Jun 30, 2024 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film Awkwardness is the order of the day, but it’s addressed in a graceful, fluid style that lifts this above the usual run of indie romances. Rated: 4/5 Mar 19, 2024 Full Review Benjamin Franz Film Threat This loopy little romantic comedy/drama is an off-kilter romance for the 21st century. I sense this creative, dramatic, and sometimes humorous look at modern love will lead to great things for all involved. Go check it out.
