Jose T The first film was hilarious, the second film was a perfect example of why there are too many sequels that should have never been made. This film is supposed to be funny, but it fails miserably, along with the fact that the script is atrocious, and the acting doesn't help either. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Yes it was kinda lame and predictable, but it still had its funny ball-breaking moments in this sequel with none of the original cast Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member 1.5/10. Trash. There is nothing funny about this movie. It's lazy in every sense, with an awful script, bottom-of-the-barrel performances, and stereotypes and sexual innuendo masquerading as jokes. Perhaps it's greatest feat is that, in comparison, it makes the original seem funny. Nobody said it better than protagonist Ben McGrath: "well, that was a bust." Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Genuinely the worst movie I've ever seen Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member I love the original film, so it was unfortunate to even see the title of this film. The first movie is stupid enough to be easy to live up to the expectations, but it's clearly made for the name. I was excited to at least see Chris Klein, Lochlyn Munro, and Jon Lovitz; to see the writer of "The Little Rascals" and "Liar Liar"; and the director of one episode of "Jessie"! I guess. Maybe not so much the last one. But anyway, the film wasn't even enjoyably bad. I found nothing funny or entertaining, but thankfully it flew by. Also, I think it's fair to note that this film, while being a waste of time and money, also seemed to perpetuate every movie cliche and stereotype imaginable. It tokenized everyone. The black gangster, the attractive radical feminist, the overly-optimistic middle eastern man, the burglar Mexican, the snappy gay man, the unreasonably bitchy ex-wife, etc. It just piled on unfunny stereotypes that are not only offensive and anti-progressive, but just plain lazy writing. It wasn't even done satirically or creatively. It was just bad and unnecessary, a synecdoche of the movie as a whole. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Not sure how I navigated to this on Netflix, but it seemed harmless enough. Wasn't horrible! I had some laughs while half paying attention. Wouldn't NOT recommend it. If you want something that'll pass the time and you'll find mildly enjoyable, check it out. Brian Costello Common Sense Media Unfunny sequel has crass innuendo, stereotypes, language. Rated: 1/5 Feb 5, 2019 Full Review Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com I was admittedly too kind to the 2006 effort all those years ago, but after sitting through a DOA follow-up, such lukewarm fandom has transformed into unexpected nostalgia.
