Mar 23, 2020 Full Review Peter Keough Boston Globe For proof that hope and determination make a difference, pessimists and cynics need look no further than Bending the Arc. Rated: 3.5/4 Oct 25, 2017 Full Review David Lewis San Francisco Chronicle It's a rousing, feel-good story about overcoming barriers, even when the challenges - poverty, lack of medical access - are inherently bleak. Rated: 4/4 Oct 18, 2017 Full Review Pat Mullen POV Magazine This powerful film profiles a group of heroes who took the call to see healthcare as a duty and service, rather than as a clinical enterprise. Jan 26, 2021 Full Review Simon Foster Screen-Space [A] story of social heroism, fierce spiritual triumph and driven scientific determination. Rated: 4.5/5 Jan 25, 2018 Full Review Christopher Llewellyn Reed Hammer to Nail Beautifully shot and edited, the movie does justice to its subjects. Still, it has [a] promo-video quality, at times ... that detracts from its perfection. Jan 25, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member A compelling story about young people who changed the world of medicine with little more than their belief that health care is a human right. Through perseverance and hard work, they changed the minds of the medical establishment, showing that state-of-the-art healthcare can and should be provided to the poor worldwide. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member It's genuinely moving. Every time I watch I'm filled with determination. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member While Partners in Health has done amazing work for the medical communities in rural areas and significant work overall for Global Health, this documentary takes on a heavy handed and slanted view of events surrounding Paul Farmers and PiH's work. Casting broad strokes of hero vs villain in a manner that doesn't illustrate the complexity of situations. The movie takes an aggressive stance against people in the scientific community who are posing questions, which are very legitimate, about their work and results. This process means that results are not taken at face value, but need to be verified and repeated. This process is critical and important, but is instead these scientists are cast as villains. While I appreciate and admire Paul Farmer's and Partners in Health's work, this felt pandering and biased and tunnel-visioned. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Powerful, uplifting, inspiring Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Amazing Must See documentary!!!!!
