Peter Keough Boston Globe By the end of this film, your heart will have had a workout. Dec 27, 2016 Full Review Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times Rarely feels unique, insightful or engaging enough to fully justify our attention. Dec 8, 2016 Full Review Nick Allen RogerEbert.com A film with a subject that it achingly wants to share, but has little idea how to best talk about it. Rated: 1.5/4 Dec 2, 2016 Full Review Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat Spirituality & Practice A documentary about a confident young woman who despite her disabilities makes a daring transition into independent living. greg r A beautifully filmed story of a quite extraordinary young woman. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Touching, Insightful, Surprising, and Thought Provoking. Made me look at my own preconceptions and make some conscious changes. The film lays out beautifully the "truth and realness" of this young woman in such a way that it is having a huge impact on Many in the audience. Love seeing the love pass from the film through Michelle to those in need. A great film that is making a difference in the lives of many. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Amazing movie! Such a great real life story that most people don't even think about, let alone make a movie about. Great job/must see. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Michelle's perspective on humanity is refreshing. It was fun to join her in her journey through adolescence and young adulthood as an actualized young woman with blindness. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member A touching film and beautifully told coming-of-age story that we were honored to see at the Vermont International Film Festival. I loved this movie! In many ways, Michelle is just like any other teenager learning to find her way in the world. But this legally blind and autistic young woman is so articulate and inspiring---and her story populated with many truly interesting and caring people---that it doesn't take long to realize that she is one of a kind. Michelle's story takes some surprising turns that the film's production team wisely follows without judgment. While overcoming challenges with her sight and autism that would leave many people frozen with fear, she searches for her independence and individuality while also exploring her sexuality in ways that might leave some parents blushing. But do not fear. Michelle takes it all in stride and becomes an advocate for her (and many other people's) empowerment. This is an awesome documentary, not to be missed. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie. THIS MOVIE. I wish I hadn't seen it yet so I could see it for the first time, again.
