Late R At one point in the film, a character says "this is like being in one of your novels", referring to the books written by Betibu, the protagonist of the film who is hired to write a column about the mysterious murder of a successful business man. And he's right, ‘Betibu' plays out much like a novel on-screen, complete with a nice, but slightly far-fetched mystery and a solution that could be described as the same. However, as anyone who reads thriller novels will tell you, the characters and the journey are just as important as the destination, and in this case, they're somewhat lacking -- both of them are missing oomph to keep you really engaged. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/03/22 Full Review Audience Member Film used investigative journalism instead of the usual detective in this enigmatic thriller which is refreshing. It started out slow but as it goes deep into the crime, you'll be hook til the astonishing ending. First Argentian film I saw and it didnt disappoint, such an incredible thriller! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Excelente pelicula con tintes "Sherlock" y - Novela Argentina pensada. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Exciting and watchable thriller let down by a silly twist and a pat resolution.
