Mark Kermode Kermode and Mayo's Take (YouTube) On the one hand, it's a kind of Ken Loach-like exploration... but it's also, and I think more interestingly, about somebody pretending to be someone they're not. Jan 11, 2024 Full Review Leonard Maltin leonardmaltin.com It’s never a waste of time to watch Juliette Binoche, and this film, which screened at Cannes in the spring, is definitely worth seeing. Between Two Worlds is both credible and absorbing. Aug 28, 2023 Full Review Mark Jenkins Washington Post Between Two Worlds is freshest when it emphasizes its documentary-like qualities, such as the brief inserts of everyday scenes and locales shot by Philippe Lagnier without any guidance from the director. Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 15, 2023 Full Review Joshua Polanski Boston Hassle Emmanuel Carrère might not fully clear the bar he set with his first feature, but he does prove himself a flexible filmmaker, able to adapt his style to the individual project. Jul 5, 2024 Full Review David Walsh World Socialist Web Site Overall, although Between Two Worlds is sincere enough, it has a rather tepid, unadventurous character. The subject matter is worthwhile, but the film is hardly ground-breaking. Rated: 2/4 Nov 2, 2023 Full Review Rene Sanchez Cine Sin Fronteras Juliette Binoche leads this compelling social drama that delves into France's working conditions.
