nick s The costume designer was a big fan of 1 Million BC; the cameraman had just acquired an underwater camera and wanted to put it through its paces; the director was probably in his late teens. Sid Haig was a pretty good actor but he was on his own out there. Not the worst film I've seen but still a nothing burger. There are scenes which give the impression that there was a lot more to the script, but nothing we see onscreen is anything but flashes of greatness (or maybe flashes of mediocrity). Patrick Wayne is a bright spot only because it's interesting to see John Wayne's son acting. None of the performances is anything to write home about. Perhaps they should've just made a movie about Atlantis. That would've been better. That's what this movie has a lot of filler of - diving.
