Jacob Throneberry Ready Steady Cut The history of the character might be more interesting than the making of Lightyear, but nevertheless, this is an exciting and insightful behind-the-scenes. Rated: 4/5 Jun 11, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

The ultimate mario B Terrible movie totally reread buzzes characters Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/24/24 Full Review Code X Steaming pile of dogshit Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/16/23 Full Review Chitrak G How Pixar can ruin toy story like this is beyond me!! Every movie does not have to be a Nolan movie. The simplicity of Pixar stories seems to be lost these days. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/18/23 Full Review Jaire J Uma animao decepcionante! Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/19/23 Full Review Gep It was not good they ruined it. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/29/23 Full Review jacob b Ignore the audience reviews, those are just people complaining about Lightyear rather than talking about the promotional documentary for Pixar's not-so-grand return to the big screen (apparently, the upcoming Elemental will be a big-screen release but I wouldn't be surprised if, just like Turning Red, Disney gets cold feet again...please let Elemental be a big screen film; the director of The Good Dinosaur deserves a second chance since that film had his directing mostly amount to trying to salvage a massive troubled production where he was originally only a co-director). This documentary decent. It loses steam when they have to actually talk about Lightyear but when discussing the character's legacy, and by extension that of the Toy Story franchise, I actually had a surprisingly good time. Highlights were seeing some old archive footage of Pixar back in the '90s I didn't know about as well as some old test footage of Toy Story that was also new to me. They did have a lot of cojones to casually show John Lasseter's face given how much of a controversial figure he is nowadays as evidenced by his failed comeback with that movie I haven't seen yet called Luck. I do think at least some people had passion in making this spin-off film and were fans of the character. Nice to know what the purple thing Buzz wears is actually called. So yeah, I think this did a decent job building up anticipation for "say you're making Toy Story 5 without saying you're making Toy Story 5" but when it transitions to actual behind-the-scenes, it's more generic by comparison (like I couldn't figure out that Buzz had to be redesigned for this movie since he's an actual human being here rather than a toy). Still think I'll wait till I'm absolutely sure the heat has died down, among other reasons, to actually watch the damn film, though. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
