Audience Member A Major General would have a Captain as an Aide D Camp, not a Master Sergeant. MSG wearing the crossed rifles emblem on his class A uniform, which is the branch insignia for an infantry officer not an NCO would be corrected by any private in the US Army. On one occasion, the General referred to the MSG as "Gunny" which would indicate the sergeant was a Gunnery Sergeant in the Marines (E-7) and not the army. As an E-8 in the Marines, he would be a Master Gunny, but he wasn't a Marine. While escaping in a German Military Truck, the allied soldiers were fired upon by German Troops. The windshield was merely cracked by the 9mm bullets. Germany didn't have safety glass like the US vehicles have. Everyone in the cab should have been dead at that point. How hard is it to hire a few military historians for your movies? The kill ratio of at least 100 dead German soldiers per Allied fatality is so ridiculous as to make it impossible to suspend disbelief.
