Carrie Rickey Philadelphia Inquirer While their subject is fascinating and her nation's role in propping up the Taliban has had repercussions from New York to India, the filmmakers don't find a straightforward way to tell Bhutto's story. Rated: 2.5/4 Jan 27, 2011 Full Review Peter Rainer Christian Science Monitor Duane Baughman's and Johnny O'Hara's fascinating documentary about Benazir Bhutto... is crammed with archival footage and often confrontational and contradictory interviews with Ms. Bhutto's family and friends. Rated: B+ Jan 3, 2011 Full Review Joseph Jon Lanthier Slant Magazine Succeeds beautifully as a kind of protracted CNN-style elegy: All the key points are alighted upon and no sensitive buttons are fingered. Rated: 2.5/4 Dec 18, 2010 Full Review Arooj Ismail emel Ultimately, Bhutto fails to represent the complex situation experienced in Pakistan under Benazir, which results in a pandering to the western public's concepts of democratisation and individual liberties. Jul 21, 2021 Full Review Brian D. Johnson Maclean's Magazine ...the film remains a gripping account, and a model of how to make history come graphically alive onscreen. Aug 27, 2019 Full Review Landon Palmer Film School Rejects ...the subjects of this documentary are incredibly complex and the film covers them at a hurried pace... Audience Member The definitive documentary on one of the game changers in Pakistan who was killed before she completed her ultimate destiny. Nonetheless one comes away from this documentary wondering if Bhutto would ever be able to accomplish what she sets out to accomplish if she had lived due to the delicate balance between parliamentarians and the army in that country. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Terrific! I may be biased for I've always found Lady Bhutto inspiring. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A woman with amazing strength to serve her country knowing that death would ultimately come before democracy. She was wise beyond her years. How Pakistan and the World would have benefited from her leadership. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member I am from Pakistan. I am not affiliated to any political party. I believe that she as corrupt as other politicians in Pakistan. She was elected TWICE as a Prime Minister and she did nothing for her nation. SHE DID NOTHING FOR DEMOCRACY. Poor women use the get abused and burned alive during her rule. She did nothing for them. I know the formula of western countries democracy. ------>HER HUSBAND CORRUPT= SHE CORRUPT that's why there is very little corruption in the west. She was just a product of feudal culture. I did not like her tragic death but i also believe that her death was not a national tragedy. I BELIEVE THAT HER DAD WAS A GENUINE POLITICIAN. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member A good documentary of a powerful, compassionate and inspiring woman whose life and work were tragically cut short. It made me want to learn more about her. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member An intimate look into the life of a Pakistani hero for Democracy. This documentary isn't only about Benazir Bhutto, but the struggle for control of Pakistan from their independence to current times, with respect to geopolitics. The movie is very entertaining to watch and I would recommend this film to anyone. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
