Son, let's watch this and learn about the word ‘propaganda'. In that way, it reminded me of Fern Gully - loved that movie as a kid. Robin Williams was the best.

The animation and sound are top notch. The music is great too. The movie moves fast, so buckle up for the ride, but it is very entertaining. Nearly all the bad reviews come from people stuck in their limited political framework (either far right and/or climate change deniers), and what they fail to see is this movie simply captures the stereotypes and current conflict between both sides (big oil and extreme environmentalists). It's a shame that we have devolved into having to "pick a side" on every single thing in existence and therefore distort our reality into us-vs-them politics. Every, single, time.

The movie wasn't necessarily bad, the plot was generic, the animation was done very well, just. The pacing was so off. It felt like it was just too fast at some points. Genuinely it is okay. 3/10.

Oil companies are evils, it's bad when a wolf wants to eat a rabbit, and by the way the Bigfoot family travels in a big gas guzzling van. Yeah, way to teach our kids.

They'll likely have a good time with what is for the most part a charming film that unfortunately gets lost in the wilderness of an action-heavy back half designed to show off the visuals rather than pay off the ideas it was toying with earlier.
