Despite its occasional sameness, the special feels like an effortless return of form for Burr, one that seems necessary given the sheer atrocity of the recently released Bill Burr: Friends Who Kill.

Fans of Burr will likely love Live at Red Rocks, and newcomers, depending on who they are, may be turned off by the first 20 minutes or so of the special... His both-sides tactics end up feeling toothless and, at worst, regressive.

Burr plays the exact hits as he did in Bill Burr: Friends Who Kill, but for an hour instead of ten minutes. He goes after COVID, “woke” people and cancel culture. Rinse, recycle, repeat, and it’s stale, redundant, and boring.

Bill Burr is always a no bullishit, I don't care about your feelings comedian. Again Bill presents a masterpiece. A little on the fence with his jokes to cater to everyone but he pulls it off well.
