Noel Murray Los Angeles Times This hybrid of survivalist action and young-adult drama remains watchable from start to finish, even if it never becomes essential. Aug 18, 2016 Full Review Brian Costello Common Sense Media Drunk driving, violence, in teen-survival action movie. Rated: 2/5 Mar 1, 2019 Full Review John Noonan FILMINK (Australia) ...a bloodless 80s throwback that never really goes anywhere. Rated: 10/20 Nov 10, 2016 Full Review Maitland McDonagh Film Journal International Kidnappers hold eight rich kids for ransom in this wilderness-survival thriller that holds few surprises but makes excellent use of its rocky island locations. Aug 18, 2016 Full Review Andrew Marshall Starburst A couple of distinctive moments stand out amidst the tedium, such as a rather innovative use for a compound fracture, but everything about Take Down is an overfamiliar slog from start to finish that holds no surprises or excitement. kalsolar Maybe I'm in the minority here but this movie held my attention from beginning to end. The direction was good throughout and while the ending was predictable I was invested in the characters and the story as a whole. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review laurie s There were some silly plot holes, mainly concerning assault weapons but in the hands of a decent director it could have been much better. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Die Hard on a Scottish island that doubles as a character-building boot-camp that specializes in teaching spoiled rich twenty-somethings survival skills. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review farah r Surprisingly very entertaining from start to finish. Take Down might not be memorable, but this survivalist thriller feels like a Hunger Games spinoff and a highly enjoyable one at that. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member absolutely ridiculous! The acting is beyond bad. The one actress who plays Amy clearly is Australian, as her accent flips between that and some weird hybrid valley girl I don't know what she's trying to do accent. The fight scene was absolutely ridiculous. Amy breaks her arm, her bone is sticking out and she manages to continue on fighting, and then manages to kill the other person by stabbing her in the neck with said exposed bone. If you wanted this to be remotely believable this is not it. I cringed and had to fast forward most of it. It was terrible. Don't waste your time. Can you even give 0 stars here? Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member A good sofa movie. Ed Eastwick is good, strange seeing him as an Englishman. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
