Lasse L Jan 4 I used to like this movie and then I forgot it existed. See more William W 09/25/2024 peak kids media, this movies is underated See more 03/26/2021 Bionicle 2: legends of metro nut. The cast of characters had sick powers like light up face and being annoying. See more 05/31/2020 It’s a pretty Good prequel to Bionicle: Mask of Light. Vhakama is indeed this movie’s Luke Skywalker/Red Power Ranger (aka the audience Surrogate) See more 09/16/2019 The best of the Bionicle films and a decent film in its own right as well. Vakama is a relatable character who is struggling to be a leader and accept his new responsibilities. The visions are an interesting plot device. This is probably the darkest Bionicle film overall. Not literally (Bionicle 3 holds that title) but thematically. Great messages for kids in this film told in a way that doesn't treat kids like they are stupid. As a movie I give it a 3.5 stars. As a kids movie or as a Bionicle movie I'd give it full 5/5. See more 03/19/2019 A cut above it's predecessor, Legends of Metru Nui is a pretty engaging Bionicle flick, and a well-done family movie. The film follows a team of rookie heroes struggling to find their place, and in stark contrast to the first film, most of them are likable, yet flawed characters. While some get more screen time than others, their chemistry as a team is believable, and their scenes together are consistently fun. The plot surrounding them is fairly cookie-cutter, and the villains get zero character development, but the action is reasonably well done, and is more than enough to keep the kids on the edge of their seats. The movie works surprisingly well as a family feature, and fits snugly within the series (although as a prequel, no prior knowledge is required to understand it). See more Read all reviews
