Ben Turner The Pink Lens As an erotic thriller it focuses more on the erotic, but even that is somewhat undermined by the silliness of romping about in the buff. Rated: 2/5 Jul 7, 2024 Full Review Joe Lipsett Horror Queers Podcast Think American Stranger by the Lake with more dark humour. Michael Emery delivers an amazing lead performance in this twisty queer erotic thriller whose outrageous ending is the cherry on top Rated: 4.5/5 Jul 2, 2024 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall Director Nate Dushku encourages the cast to develop lusty connections with each other, which adds a zing of intrigue to to each scene. This keeps things enjoyably engaging even as the body count rises. Rated: 3.5/5 Jul 2, 2024 Full Review Trace Thurman Horror Queers Podcast By unleashing a serial killer onto the unsuspecting residents of a nude queer campground, Birder turns its characters' safe space into anything but. It's a steamy, sinister erotic thriller. Rated: 3.5/5 Jul 1, 2024 Full Review Gary M. Kramer Philadelphia Gay News “Birder” is provocative because of its setting, and it ends on a scene that is quite intriguing. If only the rest of the film had been up to that level. Jun 27, 2024 Full Review Mary Beth McAndrews Dread Central Birder is one of 2024’s indie hidden gems that deserves love for how daring the entire team was in crafting a smart, devious erotic thriller navigating kink, sex, intimacy, and identity. Rodney G Definitely not a 92% movie. Everyone in the film treats Emery like he is the most amazing person they've ever seen. The dialogue was hilarious and not in a good way. He's offing people left and right, no one smells the rotting bodies. I did like the ending but was expecting something else. Makes strangulation look like its so easy. I laughed at the absurdity of it all but I had to finish it. D+ Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/09/24 Full Review Greg R Absolutely incredible. Hell yes! Amazing movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/28/24 Full Review Audience Member It's even worse than you think it is Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/06/24 Full Review Christina B An American “Stranger by the Lake” Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/02/24 Full Review Calvin C Storyline is fair…no idea what the main cast was doing. Most important is it’s claimed as an explicit movie… Well all the erection fake. What’s the point to show us some fake dicks. So plastics on the screen? It’s so distracting!! You better hide them! It will be a bit better for me to focus on the story and acting. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/27/24 Full Review Read all reviews
