See more 03/19/2012 NIcely shot, nice looking Brazilian film, but it's more about the plight of indigenous people in a modern society and makes a good statement. See more 11/15/2009 A worthy subject gets a frustratingly obtuse treatment. A war of wills between indigenous Guarani Indians and the legal landowners of a section of rural Brazil is at least not an overly romanticized portrayal of the natives. Not much in the way of dramatic developments though, and really only scratches the surface of character motivations. See more 10/25/2009 ...and the genocide still continues.
