Audience Member A glossy, arty skinflick ... the kind produced in droves after the success of "Emmanuelle". If you had pay movie channels in the early 80s, these flicks are very familiar. This one is based on a story by Balzac, but since it's adapted by Harry Alan Towers (using a pseudonym), it's pretty safe to assume that the adaptation is loose and geared mostly towards getting a sex scene on film every 10-15 minutes. As these kind of films go, this one is really light on the "art" side of the equation, but it does have a plot that's engaging enough to keep one watching between the sex scenes. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Story of a doomed relationship, but not an interesting one. The production values are not too bad for a film of this genre.
