David Stratton The Australian Black Box is a very well-crafted film and, for much of its length, a compelling one. Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 30, 2021 Full Review A.A. Dowd AV Club Athie... sensitively navigates the film's games of identity hide and seek; he provokes our full sympathy, which the film then subverts and complicates with a decent second-act twist. Rated: B- Oct 14, 2020 Full Review Brian Tallerico The Playlist "Black Box" has all the visual language of a cheap "Twilight Zone" knock-off. Rated: C Oct 13, 2020 Full Review Jennifer Bisset CNET For those missing Black Mirror, this will go some way to filling that gap. Mar 21, 2023 Full Review Jordy Sirkin Jordy Reviews It It’s not the most existential film you’ll ever see, but I do think it is a wonderful character-driven story with an immensely talented cast. Feb 22, 2023 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies Light on gore and free of tired and overused jump scares, “Black Box” leans more into psychological thriller territory, underpinning its story with elements of science-fiction and horror. Andre L This was far better than I expected. The story was great, the performances were engaging, and made you a tualky care about the characters involved. Everything was very simple and well done, and had you wondering what was going to happen next. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/21/24 Full Review Mike H The science obviously is not sound to say the least. However, the cast was amazing and the story still works well as a sci-fi thriller type. It’s a good flick overall. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/11/24 Full Review Miche H I thought this was such a great movie omg. Obviously the science behind it is crazy but the acting and story I thought was so unique. So refreshing to see a new story told I feel like lately im getting told the same 4 stories over and over again. Again - you have to suspend a lot of disbelief believe on the "neurology" parts of it 😂😂 however I think for the story it's worth it. Emotional rollercoaster. The name of the movie seems like a weird decision… but whatever I guess? Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/19/24 Full Review Valeria M Occasione persa… Un'idea con del potenziale, un buon cast e uno sviluppo banale. Peccato! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/24 Full Review Patricia M The cracking bones really got to me at first; then it was overused. It's not a bad movie but not great either. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/10/23 Full Review Alicia W A man nearly forgets his child's birthday, and can't tie his tie without her later goes to lunch with an old friend, and literally nothing has changed. Why, if you lost your memory, do you act completely normal with a friend, and yet, like a child with your child? If you're into unexplainable, supernatural, lack of plot films, this is for you. Enjoy. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews
