Rob D @rfdavidson Mar 5 I went into this not knowing quite what to expect and ended up really enjoying it. It’s a distinctive independent horror film that uses Sheffield brilliantly as its backdrop. Seeing a horror movie set around Sheffield gives it a gritty, grounded feel, and anyone familiar with the city will probably recognise a few locations along the way. The script moves along well and mixes dark humour with moments of genuine tension. There’s a thread of black comedy running through the film, and it isn’t afraid to lean into its strange, slightly chaotic energy. That unusual approach to the filming style helps give it a personality of its own. The lead actor carries the story well and handles some of the more offbeat moments with confidence. One tense scene filmed in a local park stood out in particular, balancing humour and suspense really nicely. If you’re looking for a Sheffield horror film or enjoy discovering independent British horror, this is definitely worth checking out. See more Alice W @AlSeal Mar 5 A fun, tense exploration of how the promise of prosperity can cloud your judgement. Richard Galloway is fantastic in the lead role capturing a journey into confusion and madness. With a fun take on the cursed doll genre the hand held POV is unique and inspired.
