In the depth of Sweden's bleak winter, when there's only a handful of hours of sunlight per day, bachelor friends Kaj (Jan Mybrand), Robert (Reine Brynolfsson) and Lennart (Johannes Brost) go to the weekly Friday night dance with the rest of their village. Kaj is introduced to beautiful newcomer Ingrid (Helena Bergström), with whom he immediately becomes smitten. But playboy Tommy (Carl Kjellgren), a drummer in the local band who plays at the dance every week, also has his eye on the new girl.
