Ben Kenigsberg Time Out Rated: 4/5 Nov 17, 2011 Full Review Sandra Hall Sydney Morning Herald The result proves sadly under-choreographed. And choreography is everything in a film that leans as heavily on slapstick as this one. Rated: 2.5/5 Jun 23, 2007 Full Review David Fear Time Out After Ferrell's manchild partners with a fey figure-skating rival (Heder), it's strictly uninspired buddy-comedy bickering. Rated: 2/6 Apr 7, 2007 Full Review Emma Clark-Dow Stuff.co.nz Blades of Glory is a classic, laugh-out-loud film, and is perfect for when you’re looking for something mind-numbingly hilarious. May 3, 2022 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins A routinely amusing blend of infantile scenarios and daffy characters that matches Ferrell's string of send-ups on various professions and sports. Rated: 7/10 Nov 24, 2020 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com One of Ferrell's greatest gifts as a comic is the perfectly timed spontaneous gesture, facial expression or random action. Jace E "Blades of Glory" is a fascinating comedy film. There are moments that made me genuinely laugh out loud, but it's mostly full of ridiculous, unfunny antics. Will Ferrell is in full-blown cheese mode and Jon Heber sputters his way through. The supporting cast has moments of hilarity, but for the most part the movie is just over-the-top nonsense. This film is very similar in tone to "Balls of Fury" but it sticks the landing much better than that terrible movie. For some reason, "Blades of Glory" is highly re-watchable, but mostly for its mindless comedy and mind-numbing plot. Best Character: Coach Best Quote: "No one knows what it means, but it's provocative." - Chazz Best Scene: The Iron Lotus Best Piece of Score: Blades of Glory Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 09/16/24 Full Review Larry K One of the best comedies ever Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/23/24 Full Review Warren M Mid-2000s comedy with childish, over-the-top acting, laughless writing, cringy dialogue, and visual gags that leave you with no idea what to think? Sounds like a Will Ferrell movie, alright. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/17/24 Full Review Brady R A classic example of an early 2000's comedy, this movie is made all the more enjoyable thanks to its wit, humor, and onscreen chemistry between Will Ferrell and Jon Heder and is definitely worth a rewatch or two. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/31/24 Full Review Matt J Takes a silly premise and makes it feel real. Perfectly casted and well-written. Don't like the last minute ending, felt out-of-place. But overall it was a great film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/23/24 Full Review Paul C Watched this film (movie) over the years and decided to watch it tonight... a deliciously funny film Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/01/24 Full Review Read all reviews
