David Ehrlich indieWire Teller is appreciably committed to the character, but he's only given one note to play, his full-bodied passion wasted on a movie that would rather win on points than go for the knockout. Rated: C Nov 15, 2018 Full Review Peter Travers Rolling Stone Younger jacks up the action in the last third, but the air goes out of a fight movie when you can see the next jab coming. Rated: 2.5/4 Nov 15, 2018 Full Review Leonard Maltin leonardmaltin.com Bleed for This is still worth seeing, despite its familiar trappings. Nov 15, 2018 Full Review Nick Levine NME (New Musical Express) Because of Teller's compelling performance and chemistrywith Eckhart, it's hard not to be roused by the film's triumphant finale, but it never transcends the clichés of its genre. It's an often gripping film, but never very insightful. Rated: 3/5 Apr 29, 2021 Full Review Leo Brady AMovieGuy.com Bleed for This is a surprisingly strong result. Rated: 3/4 Feb 3, 2021 Full Review Richard Crouse Richard Crouse Succeeds in getting across its predictable 'never-say-die' lesson. It's a shame Younger settles for a made-for-TV-movie sentiment instead of digging deeper to dins a subtext that would really knock the audience out. Renaldo D The film is interesting with good performances, but the soundtrack is bad. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/28/24 Full Review Felicia N Me, i really enjoyed it. Its an insperational story and a true story at that. I like the fight scenes and the sometimes emotinal moment. For me its an easy rewatch anyday! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/30/24 Full Review KB B This was such a compelling movie with good acting. Miles Teller was excellent in the leading role. The ending had reflections of Rocky only this was based on a true story. It's definitely worth the watch. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/19/24 Full Review Audience Member This sports drama true story is really good, the '80s gives you the feel and the video footage in certain scenes it has that like you were in the early days of boxing and TV. Acting is amazing, the way tell the story with this you for the him and what he goes through and they way mixed with family and friends you can tell that he has the strength to move on. Even though some nudity, cussing it and inappropriate moments and even with boxing scenes it does takeway or add Nothing but just gives life a boxer and relationship with his girlfriend and family especially his POPs. The best part of whole movie is that not only he believes himself, is that coach begin biggest supporter more his Dad, which like. All in all worth your time and streaming on MAX and give a A+👍👍👍👍 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/14/24 Full Review Dan R Miles Teller is great actor but in this movie failed to convince me that he has the charisma and ability of a lead acting role, nevertheless the storytelling of the true events was great. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/08/24 Full Review Viet C Generally, it was a very generic experience for me, sprinkled with some emotionally captivating lines from the main character that were very motivational to hear. Not the best athlete biopic, nor the worst; it's right in between from what I've watched. Basically, you can watch it and literally passes the time.
