Don't be fooled by the famous cast or interesting plot summary -- this messy sci-fi drama is sadly short on Bliss.

Nitsan S Almost started off with an interesting story... then went downhill like a car off a cliff. I didn't bother finishing it. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/15/24 Full Review on the b Although so called "official critics have stated this film with shocking reviews. I for one think this film hits the nail on the head. There are subtle things that hint towards the ideas of maya throughout and the film does a brilliant job of keeping you in the middle of the two worlds that Greg is experiencing. The film may only appeal to a select few but to those it will be gripping and utterly moving. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/03/24 Full Review Teresa R I usually like movies with Owen Wilson, but this was just awful Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/23/24 Full Review Jaco H If you like film with deeper meanings to them and keeps you theorizing on what is actually going on, this is the film for you. I'm surprised how unappreciated this film is. You can draw a deeper meaning within the story - people chasing bliss could find themselves in delusional situations whereby only people that really care about you can pull you back into reality - OR - Then there could also be the straight forward meaning regarding drug addiction and mental breaks. I think it was done well enough, either way to earn this film at least a 70%. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/24 Full Review Luiz E A touching movie about addiction, love, family and redemption. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/24 Full Review Aaron H I dont know why on earth anyone thinks this is a sci-fi movie. The reviewers who are disappointed that its a poor sci-fi movie probably panned "Animal Farm" for being an unrealistic film about agricultural life. It is very clearly a remarkable depiction of psychosis, intense derealization, and drug addiction. The screenplay very clearly shows parallels between the fantasy world and the real world. Wilson and Hayek's portrayals of addicts struggling with mental illness is so absurdly good, it clearly bewildered critics into thinking it was supposed to be a sci-fi movie. Kate Erbland indieWire Even the worst simulation would have more clarity than this. Life might be messy and weird and scary, but it possesses more honesty than this cinematic misery. Rated: D+ Feb 11, 2021 Full Review Jesse Hassenger AV Club It's easy to get ahead of the story in Bliss, and its final stretch has a comedy-sketch capriciousness... Rated: C+ Feb 6, 2021 Full Review James Berardinelli ReelViews With its blend of existential science fiction and character-based romance, it would seem to be as close to a can't-miss premise as one can imagine yet, despite that, it somehow does miss - and by a wide margin. Rated: 2/4 Feb 6, 2021 Full Review Zach Pope Zach Pope Reviews A confusing entertaining film that you will forget exists Jul 26, 2023 Full Review Brett Doze InSession Film Though a cameo from Bill Nye certainly brought a brief smile to my face, the film overall left me with the opposite of bliss.
