Noel Murray Los Angeles Times The film as a whole is suffused with a believable world-weariness, carried by people who have endured years of violence and brutality and who no longer have any compunction about ditching morality for the sake of survival. May 30, 2023 Full Review Peter Sobczynski RogerEbert.com This unabashedly trashy project from director Peter Thorwarth has its moments of invention and excitement in the early going, but the constant spray of bullets and body parts proves numbing. Rated: 2/4 May 26, 2023 Full Review Leslie Felperin Guardian It’s predictable but tightly staged and well paced, and if you’re scrolling through the streaming platform looking for something fresh, it’s not a bad choice for switch-your-brain-off entertainment. Rated: 3/5 May 24, 2023 Full Review Robert W. Butler Butler's Cinema Scene Call it a guilty pleasure. Rated: B- Aug 2, 2023 Full Review Aaron Neuwirth We Live Entertainment The second film this year to focus on a stalwart hero doing all he can to take down Nazis and hold onto his gold during WWII. The results are splendid. Rated: 7/10 Jul 27, 2023 Full Review Tatat Bunnag Bangkok Post While many other war films usually come with an emotional theme that explores the true horrors of war, Blood & Gold seems to be a movie with sheer explosive chaos, akin to Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds. Tom F This movie was a really fun one, which shows some of the discourse that could have happened in Germany whilst the Allies secured certain victory. Despite historical inaccuracies which I see a lot of people complaining about. I see this film more as a “what if” kind of movie which is fun, full of action and has a great plot. Don’t know how anyone can complain it deserves more credit! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/15/25 Full Review Walker W So much fun! Great score, cinematography, acting, fun story with some over the top fun set pieces. If you’re looking for historical accurate stuff, you don’t understand what this movie is. Would love a physical 4K copy of this one Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/21/24 Full Review Bahar S Amazing German Tarantino film. Kudos 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Must see 👍🏻 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/16/24 Full Review Ghc V This movie is such mess and full of historical inaccuracies. It was frustrating to watch. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 12/11/24 Full Review Audience Member I watched it with a friend on a weekend night, the plot is kinda messy and hard to understand if you don't pay deep attention especially near the end Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/01/24 Full Review Audience Member The German Quentin Tarantino Movie. That's all that needs to be said. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/18/24 Full Review Read all reviews
