Hartmut Keller (Jeffrey Frank) is a German boy who gets recruited by the Hitler Youth movement in the years prior to World War II. Not only is Hartmut expected to swear allegiance to Adolf Hitler and the Nazi regime, he must also spy on his parents and observe where their loyalties lie. As Hartmut and his peers are further indoctrinated into the Nazi way of life, the process reveals how propaganda can be so effective that it turns teens against their own families.
